Annoying, the previous thread closed...hmm.
I exported a MP4 file from quicktime pro. I selected the default settings and enabled streaming.
I took that MP4 file and renamed it to FLV.
I uploaded that new FLV file over top an existing properly prepared FLV file that already worked correctly.
The renamed FLV file failed to display.
My guess is that this technique of renaming a MP4 to FLV does not work reliably.

Re: H264 and Flash (continued)
Wed, January 9, 2008 - 3:35 PMPrevious thread works fine, so maybe it's a tribe bug.
Anyway, which codec did you use for the MP4?

Re: H264 and Flash (continued)
Thu, February 14, 2008 - 6:39 AMI think you totally missed the difference between a codec and a container. Do some research on Wikipedia so you can tell the difference between them.
QuickTime pro will ONLY work with and modify the QT file container, so you cannot make an FLV from it. -

Re: H264 and Flash (continued)
Mon, March 3, 2008 - 7:11 PMI am confused here:
Why would you rename an mp4 file to .flv?
one is mpeg4 then other is a flash video file.
Am I missing something here?

Tue, March 4, 2008 - 4:49 PMfrom what i understood the flash player that was released seems to support mp4 similarly to mp3 files in previous releases.
